Connie Hamzy was born on January 9th 1953 at Little Rock, Arkansas. She had an "encounter" with Jimmy Page on 1971, at age 18, and a year later another with John Bonham.
"Sweet Connie" is one of the most prolific groupies of all time, she presumes of having gone to bed with thousands of men and to have given oral sex to them, including the most famous rockers from 1970s and 1980s (like Willie Nelson, Keith Moon, Graham Nash, Dave Murray, Joe Walsh, Carlos Santana, Mick Fleetwood, Alice Cooper, John McVie, Paul Stanley, Richard Carpenter, Peter Criss, or Frank Zappa, among others), who pass to the little city of Little Rock, where was born also US ex-president Bill Clinton, who'm she had also a relationship with. Her groupie escapades were detailed in a Cosmopolitan profile in 1974.
In 1992 she wrote a tell-all article for Penthouse explaining her relationship with the then young governor Bill Clinton. Hillary Clinton tried to destroy Connie's credibility, but she showed pictures to the mass media.
In 1996 Connie wrote a book entittled “Rock Groupie” and today she is still living in Little Rock, where she works as a teacher in a public school.
Connie is mentioned in Grand Funk Railroad's song "We're an American Band" ("Sweet, sweet Connie, doin' her act/ She had the whole show and that's a natural fact.")
